Little Houses Quilt

Okay, so my quilting lines still aren't all that straight - it's probably going to take awhile to get those worked out - but here's a quilt I made about a year ago (!) as a Christmas gift to my grandmother.

I made these out of some leftover fat quarters that I kind of scraped together after buying the solids as a test for the wedding quilt I put together before this one. This was also the first quilt that I took the time to make up some personalized quilt labels. I love the idea of these, especially when I'm making quilts that are given away to people a lot of the time.

A+A - A Wedding Quilt

The summer is winding down (ugh, where did it go?!) and so it's about time I show off the project I spent the vast majority of spring and summer working on. I made this quilt for a friend that got married at the end of August -- it was my intention to gift her and her new husband with something special and thoughtful. I think I accomplished that.

But it was a battle to do so.

Quick and Easy Quilted Coasters

Coasters are one of those things that I've never thought about until summer rolled around in my apartment. Suddenly, I was a little bit worried about marking up my own furniture with rings and the like. And conveniently I had a bit of fabric left over from other sewing projects.

It's an incredibly quick DIY project that you can get done in about one hour.
